We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Associate) Data Analyst who will be who will be responsible for analysing complex datasets, generating reports, and providing actionable insights to help guide business decisions. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring data-driven strategies are at the forefront of our initiatives.

Enterprise Technology

Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers shared technology services for Morgan Stanley supporting all business applications and end users. ETS provides capabilities for all stages of Morgan Stanley’s software development lifecycle, enabling productive coding, functional and integration testing, application releases, and ongoing monitoring and support for over 3,000 production applications. ETS also delivers all workplace technologies (desktop, mobile, voice, video, productivity, intranet/internet) in integrated configurations that boost the personal productivity of employees. Application and end user functions are delivered on a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter, network, compute, cloud, storage, and database functions.

Enterprise Computing (EC)

Enterprise Computing is a department of Core Infrastructure that provides a collection of products and services that make up the Morgan Stanley core compute infrastructure, hosting platforms and supporting application services. Solutions are delivered across the infrastructure stack from foundational hardware platforms, storage, server operating systems and virtualization up through the hosting of common web, database, middleware and reporting services.

Infrastructure Production Management & Reliability Engineering

This is Associate position that maintains the stability and reliability of the organization's infrastructure systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability to support business operations.

What you’ll do in the role:

· Data Collection & Analysis: Gather, clean, and validate large datasets from various sources. Analyse trends, patterns, and insights that help in business decision-making. · Reporting & Dashboards: Design and develop comprehensive reports and interactive dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs). Backend development using Python, Java or similar. · Data Modelling & Statistical Analysis: Apply advanced statistical methods, data modelling, and forecasting techniques to identify opportunities and predict future trends. · Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with different business units (e.g., marketing, finance, operations) to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable insights. · Data Visualization: Present complex data in clear, visually appealing ways using data visualization tools. · Database Management: Maintain and update databases, ensuring data integrity and availability. · Automation: Automate routine data extraction, reporting, and analysis processes for efficiency. · Ad-hoc Analysis: Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights as requested by management and business leaders.

What you’ll bring to the role:

· At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role. · Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. · Professional experience in data analysis, with a strong background in statistical analysis and reporting.

Technical Skills: · Time Series Forecasting, Data models including Prophet, ARIMA, ETS. Deep Learning models such as LSTM, CNN or similar · Excellent working knowledge of Data Science and Analytics including Regression, Classification, Time Series Analysis etc. · Proficiency in SQL for querying databases. · Experience with data visualization tools like Jupyter Notebook, Power BI, Tableau, MS Excel or similar. · Statistical packages or programming languages for analysing datasets and API development (Python, R, Flask, Django etc.) · Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex data and provide clear insights. · Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to solve complex business problems using data-driven approaches. · Communication: Excellent communication skills to present findings and collaborate with stakeholders · Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications: · Experience in usage of big data technology like Spark in Machine Learning model development. · Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques. · Experience in Agile development practices.
