Job Description Summary

The role is responsible for working on Advanced technology activities; specifically, but not limited to, design and development of process / test for PET (Positron Emission Tomography)or SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) Systems. Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Work in close coordination with respective segment product program managers, manufacturing process Engineers, design change chairperson, senior architect, and principal engineers to support improvements in Product Quality through actionable outcomes of Process/Product design and development.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conducts component and product integration. All activities that span multiple components and products and are concerned with how to integrate for maximum performance and operability. Manages product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down. Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing. Responsible for defining product requirements for the module / component / subcontractors and partners teams. Manages interface between components and execution organizations.

• Familiar with MATLAB, python, excel, PowerPoint, or equivalent tools.

• Six-sigma trained or familiar with statistical data analysis of experimental data.

• Familiar with PET or SPECT (desirable but not required)

• Familiar with use and handling of radioactive materials.

• Good communication skills to interact with management, design engineers (mechanical, electrical, s/w), manufacturing engineers, and manufacturing associates.

• Capable of reducing technical data for management/business presentations focusing on its impact more than its technical content.

• Working along with cross-functional teams to implement quality actions.

• Carries out Engineering design change activities, if needed, by working in close coordination with SDEs (Senior Design Engineers), Architects, Principal Engineers and cross functional teams of operations, quality, regulatory and service.

• Supports quality and regulatory audits (internal & External) as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, medical electronics or related field, material science with minimum 6+ years relevant industrial experience

• A master's degree/ PhD desired

• Familiarity with MATLAB, python, etc..

• Knowledge of Tubes and High Voltage generators, and associated systems desirable
