As a System Engineer – Low voltage components, Cables and IV Coupler you will be
responsible for the following:
Collects external (customer, standards) and internal (rolling stock) requirements, to define Low
voltage components (HV cables, switchgears, IV couplers, Aux cubicles, Low voltage power
distributions, Sizing, and selection)
System specification preparation for different IV coupler systems for metro, commuter train and
locomotive
Preparation and understanding of schematic diagram and electrical layout
Your tasks include carrying out calculations and simulations, drawing up specifications for the
components technology and evaluating measurement results from other departments.
Sizing calculation and selection of cables, Insulation and short circuit calculations, switchgears, IV
couplers, Aux cubicles, Low voltage power distributions, Battery
Preparation and review of BOM of electrical equipment’s and technical datasheets.
You will support in project planning / development projects for rail vehicles.
You present the development results and co-ordinate with users, decision makers, suppliers, and
customers.
Support to the deliverables by proposing QCD improvements.
You support during procurement, manufacturing, commissioning, and validation of the products.
You will participate in the continuous development of competence and exchange ideas with
teams on technological topics.
Coordination with Other engineering teams such as Traction, Brake, Circuit Engineering and
Mechanical teams to develop the Electrical sub systems and integrate in the vehicle.
Responsible for: Technical open issues resolution, from investigation to modification
implementation and problem closure

You should have minimum experience of 4 to 5 years along with bachelor’s degree in electrical
engineering along with experience of Train Systems
Furthermore, you have knowledge of simulation tools / techniques for circuits of power
electronics/EMC/EMI/IEC-EN Standards/Earthing concept/ LV Components & Cables sizing/
Rolling Stock components/Schematics.
Good understanding in electrical connections in the Automatic couplers
You are familiar with analysis and review methodologies.
You are willing to travel as required for project.
Good Communication and Presentation Skills
