Job Description

OCI Networking and security Architect

Design and implement robust OCI networking solutions, including Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), subnets, route tables, security lists, DRG's and network load balancers.

Optimize OCI network performance and ensure efficient resource allocation and high availability.

Develop and manage network topologies, VPNs, and interconnects for multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

Extensive knowledge in setting up the DR solutions and also good knowledge on Full Stack DR.

Should be expert in Cost Analysis and help customer to how to reduce the Cost.

Create and enforce security policies and controls within OCI, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Data Encryption.

Design and implement security solutions to protect OCI resources and data from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational security policies.

Design high level implementation Plan for the report that comes out from Cloud Guard , DataSafe , CIS Reporting etc.

Integrate OCI networking and security solutions with existing on-premises systems and other cloud platforms.

Implement and optimize security measures such as Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and security monitoring tools.

Conduct performance tuning and cost optimization for OCI networking and security configurations.

Establish and maintain best practices, guidelines, and standards for OCI networking and security implementations.

Develop and manage governance frameworks to control network and security resource usage and compliance.

Perform regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to security policies and industry standards.

Lead OCI networking and security projects from design through deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.

Collaborate with project managers, cloud engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Connecting with the DevOps team to come out with Frameworks for major Automations.

Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex networking and security issues within OCI environments.

Lead incident response efforts, including root cause analysis and remediation for security breaches or network disruptions.

Stay current with emerging OCI technologies, trends, and advancements in cloud networking and security.

Promote and implement innovative solutions to address evolving business needs and enhance OCI infrastructure.

Deep knowledge of OCI networking and security services, including VCN, VPN, NSGs, IAM, and OCI security best practices.

Strong expertise in network and security performance optimization, incident response, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Familiarity with automation tools, infrastructure-as-code practices, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.

Responsibilities

Experience in cloud networking and security architecture, with a strong focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing OCI networking and security solutions, including VCNs, NSGs, IAM, and encryption.

Extensive experience with OCI and hybrid cloud environments, security tools, and compliance practices.

As an Advisory Systems Engineer, you are expected to be an expert member of the problem-solving/avoidance team and be highly skilled in solving extremely complex (often previously unknown), critical customer issues. Performing the assigned duties with a high level of autonomy and reporting to management on customer status and technical matters on a regular basis, you will be expected to work with very limited guidance from management. Further, the Advisory Systems Engineer is sought by customers and Oracle employees to provide expert technical advice.
