Oracle Senior Software Developer in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

Oracle’s Retail Global Industry Unit (RGIU) is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join their Omni-Channel team.

In this role, you will deliver features which are meaningful to the customer, technically sound, operationally maintainable & scalable, and consistent with the product vision. Senior Software Developer is a hands-on developer with experience in full-stack development in an agile setting.

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer with passion in solving challenging problems and experience in evolving legacy architecture to a distributed, highly scalable, and available SaaS architecture built on micro-services platform. These are exciting times in our space - we are growing fast, making key technical investments for the future as we evolve our cloud-native solutions to continue to enable modern retailer to keep up with the ever-evolving retail trends and demands.

Oracle Retail Omni-Channel cloud services offer industry leading solutions for the top retail brands around the globe. We operate at a high scale in highly available cloud native environment.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or technical field.

  • 6+ years of experience developing and delivering large scale, highly available solutions.

  • Extensive experience working with Java tools and technologies (Core java, J2EE).

  • Extensive experience in developing full-stack web-based applications.

  • Extensive experience with building Restful webservcies.

  • Extensive experience with JSON, REST web services.

  • Extensive experience with HTML, CSS, javascript, Knockout, JQuery.

  • Extensive experience developing and working with SaaS applications.

  • Experience working on high volume transactional systems.

  • Experience with Angular/React/etc, PL SQL.

  • Strong knowledge and experience working with Oracle databases.

  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.

  • Experience with version control systems like Git, Subversion.

  • Experience with continuous delivery and continuous integration tools like Jenkins.

  • Experience with various design patterns, data structures, algorithms.

  • Experience with Oracle core cloud technologies is a plus.

  • Hands-on development experience with the following is a plus:

  • Micro-services

  • Multi-tenant systems

  • container technologies like Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on development and leading and mentoring junior developers.

  • Understand the business need and solution and collaborate with Strategy and BA teams.

  • Focus on quality of the product; unit testing to supporting QA team during testing cycles.

  • Maintain high level of coding standards.

  • Patriciate in and lead code inspection and refactoring.

  • Ensure architectural choices lead to scalable solutions.

  • Keen eye on managing technical debt on an ongoing basis.

  • Automation in every aspect of development including CI/CD.

  • Code management (branching, release, tagging, check-in and checkout procedures etc.).
