Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and technically adept Engineer to join our team as a Hybrid Development, Production Support, QA and Ops specialist. This exciting role demands wearing multiple hats, blending development skills with expertise in analysing and white-boxing code and production operations. You’ll bridge the gap between development and deployment, ensuring high-quality software reaches users smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Development:
Write clean, efficient and testable code adhering to coding standards.
Root cause production issues and fix bugs aligned with technical specifications.
Write unit tests and actively participate in code reviews for Quality Assurance.
Production Support and Operations:
Respond promptly to production incidents, diagnose problems and implement solutions.
Automate routine operational tasks and leverage monitoring for efficiency.
Contribute to infrastructure management and deployment processes.
Quality Assurance:
Understand the product design to verify clean, efficient and testable code adhering to coding standards.
Contribute to automation including CI/CD and end-to-end automation.
Collaborate with developers to resolve bugs and ensure timely fixes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in software development.
Strong understanding of production operations concepts and practices.
Good coding skills in Java
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash etc) preferred.
Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
Additional Information:
On-call support for production issues may be required outside of regular hours.
