Job Description

The AMS Technical Manager - Cloud will spearhead our Application Management Services team, overseeing the seamless deployment and optimization of cloud-based applications. This role entails strategic planning for cloud application performance and monitoring, end-to-end lifecycle management, and collaboration with multi-functional teams for integration. The ideal candidate brings proven leadership in cloud technologies, a solid understanding of application lifecycle management, and proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP. Strong communication skills and the ability to foster innovation within the team are crucial.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Responsible for working with the DevOps, product engineering and OBCS cloud platform teams to deploy, support and trouble shoot a SaaS Suite

  • Build in-depth technical understanding of each SaaS deployment platform components and assist various teams in incident management activities.

  • Build Monitoring and Observability solutions for both internal and external (customer facing) stake holders.

  • Drive the solution architecture for SaaS to On-prem and key industry standard integrations.

  • Responsible for providing solutions for multi-cloud based (E.g., OBCS in OCI, Other front office systems in MS-Azure etc.) SaaS deployments and corresponding network topologies

  • Drive the solution architecture for SaaS Non-Functional requirements (NFRs)

  • Collaborate with the engineering, product, DevOps and AMS/SRE teams

  • Contribute to the definition of internally and customer sourced specifications for new features and the development of those features

  • Work with the user experience design team to optimize designs

  • Guide the different stake holders regarding constraints and standard methodologies for integrations and implementations

  • Work with the product team and customers to understand and refine requirements

  • Work with implementation teams and customers to ensure successful implementations

  • Understand and explain the effect of product architecture decisions on micro services-based cloud native SaaS services.

  • Understand and explain SaaS application availability, RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective) and its impacts as part of incidents and system down time

  • Proven ability to quickly learn new technical domains and then train others

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in the banking and financial services industry

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience working with cloud (IaaS/PaaS) / SaaS based application deployments, monitoring and production support including Kubernetes based deployments

  • Strong understanding of cloud concepts and platforms

  • Familiarity with security practices in web application delivery and general knowledge of network topology

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with individuals across the organization

  • A systems thinker, able to move fluidly between high-level abstract thinking and diligent implementation; open minded to new ideas, approaches, and possesses the technical ability to implement ideas

  • Experience in working with Agile development frameworks

  • A self-starter that is naturally inquisitive, requiring only small pieces to the puzzle, across many technologies new and legacy

  • Up to date on the latest industry trends w.r.t Cloud Platforms; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
