US Foods is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead and manage large-scale technology enablement programs (>$10M) within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing the disciplined execution of business transformation programs through the strategic implementation of third-party software solutions that co-exist within legacy environments. This leader must demonstrate a deep understanding of emerging technologies, strong business acumen, and exceptional leadership, organization and communication skills.
The Warehouse Management Systems, Sr Program Manager position has been segmented as Remote Anywhere meaning the work is completed 100% remote/virtual anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Leadership and Strategic Planning, including:
Develop and execute program strategies, objectives and deliverables in alignment with US Foods' business goals to support the Product Delivery Lead from initiation to completion
Lead and oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of multiple high-impact workstreams, with detailed plans that include timelines, budgets, and resource allocation leveraging standardized artifacts and processes
Engage with program teams, key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to manage expectations and ensure alignment of program results to business goals, budget, scope and timelines
Risk Management and Value Capture, including:
Identify potential risks and issues that could impact program success, develop effective mitigation and contingency strategies and drive timely resolution
Foster a high-performance, collaborative and continuous improvement environment that motivates team members to seek help and learn from challenges to deliver results
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track program progress and performance and escalate appropriately to ensure alignment and speed to action to resolve
Confirm plan results in achievement of business value and provide regular, clear updates to stakeholders and senior management
Program Governance, including:
Accountable for program budgets, ensuring financial oversight and control, and monitor expenditures to ensure programs are delivered within budget
Ensure that all program deliverables and technology releases meet the highest standards of quality and align with business requirements, or that risks and roadmaps are accepted and in place
Validate that programs comply with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies
Other duties as assigned by manager
SUPERVISION :
- No direct reports, program team size of >50 people
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Regular interaction with all members of the program team including internal L3 and L4 accountable stakeholders within DigiTech and Supply Chain.
External: Regular interaction with vendor partners representing the implementation partner and software partner(s).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 7 years of experience in program management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in the food service industry or warehouse management is highly desirable.
Leadership Skills: Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing large, complex programs and cross-functional teams.
Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including budget planning, monitoring, and reporting.
Change Management: Experience in leading organizational change and driving adoption of new processes and systems.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira).
EDUCATION
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Technology.
Advanced degree (MBA, PMP, etc.) is preferred.
Universal pay verbiage :
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $95,000 -$155,000. This role will also receive annual incentive plan bonus.
