Centrally controlling master data, optimization configuration and automation for our best-in-class transportation management systems is critical to enabling the business to meet customer demand efficiently and effectively. This team is at the crossroads of operations and technology to optimize transportation shipments for the best cost and service. To do this, the team manages data, works with operations around improvement, and drives changes and enhancements to system configurations and optimization parameters.

Job Description:

Senior Analyst - Transportation Pricing & Procurement is a role that is focused on using quantitative analytics, financial acumen and industry expertise to own and influence transportation decisions for the organization. This exciting opportunity will require working cross functionally throughout the Supply Chain , along with Sales & Transportation Operations teams across the company. It also includes building and owning working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role is in Bentonville, AR and reports to a Senior Manager , Program Management - Pricing .

You'll sweep us off our feet if...

  • Demonstrate ability to own transportation pricing, revenue and margin strategy, specifically as it relates to full truckload carriers and the Contract & Spot arrangements that they will enter into.

  • Possess a high level of data literacy and technical acumen (SQL, Python, Advanced Excel, PowerBI) to be able to gather, consume, analyze and provide visualizations and modeling of transportation procurement data inputs and outputs.

  • Relationship Management - ability to build trust with internal/external stakeholders .

  • Expertise with the multi-year trucking cycle and the impact it has on freight supply purchasing decisions by shippers.

  • Perform in-depth analysis of key cost factors and market trends with proprietary and consolidated data sources. Own development and refinement of internal SOPs and methodologies.

  • 4-6 years of years of relevant transportation logistics, pricing, or finance experience, or comparable combination of education, experience, and training.

  • Data Acumen - Validate data integrity through consolidation and standardization of third-party data vendors , internal mechanisms and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Drive Cost/Value - Consult with stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Customer Experience) , tools and market intelligence to develop pricing strategy , ownership and drive efficiency through RFP ownership.

  • Leverage professional scrutiny skills to raise awareness of issues that might need cross-functional input/support. Elevating to leaders for support as needed. Providing timely, action-oriented recommendations to address complex issues.

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00-$110,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
