Last Mile Delivery works on fulfilling customer demand for everything in the store at the comfort of their home. As a Senior Manager, you will be key to growing our last-mile Dedicated Delivery program and specifically our van program. The Last Mile Dedicated Delivery team is focused on building out new propositions to fulfill the delivery segment from Walmart directly to the end consumer, using a dedicated fleet. You will be responsible for our van vendor relations and long term strategy for how we deploy a dedicated van fleet.
We are seeking a vendor management and strategy team lead who will not only manage day-to-day operations of vendor management but also take on a broader role that includes formulating and implementing overall vendor strategy. This position is designed for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is comfortable wearing many hats. Initially, the focus will be on establishing a solid vendor and sourcing strategy for our fleet of delivery vans. However, as the role evolves, the successful candidate will become a jack of all trades, actively involved in shaping our last-mile delivery operations.

What You Will Do:
Own the intricate landscape of dedicated delivery, managing vans for all last mile delivery needs
Lead and develop the vendor relations team and strategy
Run the day to day operations of vendor mgmt. to ensure business continuity
Conduct vendor RFPs and selection and incubate new vendors or new processes to best grow van operations
Own and drive initiatives with cross-functional collaboration across product, operations, stores, finance, and analytics teams
Dive into operational outcomes and ensure performance standards are met
You'll sweep us off our feet if:
You have strong communication skills and proven strengths in stakeholder management at all levels
You have prior vendor relations or account mgmt. experience
You're experienced with managing associates
You are a natural entrepreneur; have the drive to help shape the direction of this business.
You are comfortable with shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment.
You're a strategic thinker; have the ability to look at the long term and are comfortable making tough decisions.
You know how to build and present a story while catering it to a varying level of audiences from peers to executives.
What you need:
4+ years of experience in areas of strategy, business operations, or vendor relations at a fast-growing tech company/start-up or management consulting at a top-tier firm
Demonstrate the ability to work with stakeholders but also move fast by removing barriers
Resourceful self-starter who can drive projects autonomously
Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, with bias-to-action
Thrive in fast-moving environments, comfortable with ambiguities, and taking decisions independently
Executive level storyboarding and presentation skills

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
