(HYMH), a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Industrial Engineer I-III (onsite) based at our manufacturing facility in Berea, KY . In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing material flow processes to ensure just-in-time delivery, enhancing efficiency, and driving continuous improvement projects.

What you will do:

  • Material Flow Optimization: Lead and manage material flow systems, including kitting and milk run operations, from supplier to finished goods, ensuring alignment with global strategies and efficiency improvements.

  • Project Management: Oversee the implementation of new material flow strategies, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements. Manage internal and external projects that impact material flow operations.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within material handling processes, collaborating with Supply Chain, Materials, and Manufacturing teams to ensure KPIs are achieved.

  • Process Evaluation & Support: Assist with the integration of new products and engineering changes into existing material flow systems, and provide resolutions for material flow issues.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Engineering) to develop innovative solutions and ensure optimal performance of material flow systems.

  • Material Flow Expertise: Provide expert input on process improvements, best practices, and system enhancements related to material handling and logistics.

What you will need:

Level I:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience: Up to 2 years of experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing Engineering, with significant exposure to materials handling and material flow processes.

Level II:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience: 1-3 years in Supply Chain or Manufacturing Engineering, with significant experience in materials handling and material flow processes.

Level III:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or comparable field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience: 3-5 years in Supply Chain or Manufacturing Engineering, with experience in "kitting" and "milk run" operations and other material flow systems.

Skills, Experience & Abilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of production processes and systems used in discrete manufacturing, including DFT principles, and the ability to engineer material handling solutions.

  • Project Management: Experience managing material flow projects, including planning, execution, and overseeing key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated leadership skills with excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.

  • Analytical Skills: Proven capability to analyze business processes and break down complex problems into manageable components for effective solutions.

  • Innovative & Forward-Thinking: Ability to develop novel approaches to material flow and process improvements, integrating advanced technologies.

  • Problem Solving & Change Management: Expertise in identifying challenges and implementing solutions that drive change within material handling operations.

  • Software & Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and the ability to work with software and hardware used for material flow activities.
