The Secure Reception Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of service functions related to the front desk operations and the general security tasks of the facility while providing a high level of customer service to internal and external customers. The Secure Receptions Coordinator will conduct physical security and risk vulnerability inspections, evaluate, and make recommendations for improvement.  In addition, the SRC will oversee personnel access at key entry points and conduct proper check-in procedures to assure only approved personnel have access to specific work areas based on responsibilities and clearances. 

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Securely check in visitors and alert the appropriate party upon arrival.  

  • Escort vendors to areas within the facility needing accessed.  

  • Field general questions asked by guest and employees. 

  • Coordinate conference room availability and assist with lunch meeting services.  

  • Manage first line defense to prevent security breaches by detecting unauthorized subjects. 

  • Monitor Security Camera Displays and assist with playback requests.  

  • Conduct repeated security walk throughs of the facility, detecting and reporting breaches.  

  • Engage management as needed to address security concerns and breaches.  

  • Monitor all building alarm systems and assist with bypass functions.  

  • Monitor effectiveness of the security program and makes recommendation for improvement. 

  • Assists in safety and security awareness training for personnel. 

  • Guest Management/Administration. 

  • Security Badge Management/Administration. 

  • Manage and maintain Counter Report Roster. 

  • Manage the Paging System. 

  • Assist with maintaining office key organization.  

  • Scheduling of back-up coverage for security desk. 

  • Assist HR with onboarding new hires and orientation procedures.  

  • Maintain logoed garment vendor services and reporting. 

  • Manage food vendor services and contracts. 

  • Manage internal supply orders, distribution, and inventory.  

  • Report any Facility malfunctions to appropriate managing group.  

  • Assist with sanitation of front desk and break rooms as needed.  

  • Manage all internal signage. 

  • Assist with internal company events as needed. 

  • Other duties as directed by the Regional Operations Manager.  

     

This is an experienced-level position that will provide MCPC a dedicated individual to support team workload. While receptionist and/or security desk certifications are preferred, they are not required.  The individual will be expected to pursue the appropriate onboarding or training as detailed by immediate supervisor within the first year of employment. 

 

Experience and Educational Requirement: 

 

  • A High School Diploma or GED, with demonstrated work experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.  

  • 3-5 years of experience in security or front desk duties. 

  • Demonstrated customer service experience preferred. 

  • Valid Driver's License (less than 6 points on license to adhere to insurance requirements). 

     

Physical Requirements: 

The physical requirements of this job include occasional sitting, stooping/crouching, regular walking, standing, pulling/pushing, carrying, lifting to 40lbs., grasping, reaching, clarity of vision, and rare climbing & crawling.  The mental requirements of this job include general intelligence; motor coordination skills; coordination of the eyes, hands, and feet; verbal intelligence and number intelligence. The workplace environmental conditions include heat in the summer and dust. 

 

Regular attendance and punctuality are an essential job function of this position.  In addition, the duties of this job need to be performed inside of our offices (unless authorized due to extraordinary circumstances by your manager and Human Resources) for the purpose of interaction and collaboration with colleagues and/or clients as necessary, the ability to adequately supervise the associate, and/or the availability of necessary equipment utilized for regular job functions.
