This position is in Cargill’s animal nutrition and health business, where we improve animal lives through better nutrition. Our team researches, innovates and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Logistics Coordinator will provide logistical solutions on inbound movement of raw material from origin to destination executing logistics activities. You will be also responsible for materials planning and scheduling to support production ensuring 100% availability whilst careful management of stock levels. We seek a professional who will help us to conduct shipping, supplier interaction and business partnership and that are able to work accurate in a highly dynamic work environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Under general supervision, execute logistics activities that support the execution of the local supply chain in one or more of the following areas:

  • Planning and organizing transport for raw materials, contact with suppliers, control of external warehousing.

  • Executes against freight strategy, resolves routine issues, and provides information to support improved or cost-beneficial freight movements.

  • Contribute to developing, maintaining and executing regulatory compliance procedures.

  • Solicit, collect and organize documentation and data, performing routine data entry into one or more systems, like SAP.

  • Perform administrative duties in support of the shipment execution process, completing tasks using industry standard procedures.

  • Handle complex administrative and technical tasks under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex tasks to appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent.

  • Proven related work experience.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Fluent in English language (verbal and written).

  • Be able to handle a high work pressure and multiple tasks at once and able to prioritize between tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education withing logistics/supply chain/economy or relevant work experience.

  • ERP experience, preferably with SAP.

  • Understanding of shipping/freight of dry- and wet bulk.

  • Fluent in Norwegian language (verbal and written).

  • Able to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative way.

  • Independent and reliable with a high level of accuracy.

  • The ability to come up with process improvements related to logistics/ supply chain processes.
