Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for Associate Systems Engineering Technicians to join our Phantom Works Subcontract Requirements Engineering team in St. Louis, MO .

The successful Systems Engineering Technician will provide critical support to the Engineering Labs. The position receives and formats data to provide documentation that assists internal customers in the development of engineering products, services, and processes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the collection of engineering requirements and the development of prospective suppliers

  • Verify products meet regulatory conformance and contractual compliance

  • Maintain products, processes, and services to ensure consistent quality

  • Assist with the verification of products and documents results and ensures defects are identified for resolution. Maintains design documentation by using company/industry standards.

  • Interface between Engineering and Supplier Management organizations

  • Create Common Automated Procurement Request System (CAPRS) Requisitions requests and tracks progress

  • Create Shared Services/Procurement/Payables Network (SSPN) requests and tracks progress

  • Responsible for Backorder status to insure on time delivery

  • Coordinate with Procurement Agents, Engineers, Suppliers to secure pricing and delivery information

  • Create P-CARD orders, where appropriate, for large volume and small dollar electronic component parts

  • Verify receipt of items shipped, and record receipt in E-PARTS (engineering requisitioning tool)

  • Assist engineering with estimates, e.g.: pricing and delivery information in preparation of proposals

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience, at least considered an intermediate user, with office tools such Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Experience in a role that required the ability to work in a collaborative environment with multidisciplinary teams

  • Strong communication skills

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: 52,700 – 71,300
