Amazon Principal Software Engineer, AWS IDEs in Berlin, Germany
Description
As a Principal Engineer for the IDEET group, specialising in Development Experience and Integrated Development Environments (IDE), you will play a pivotal role in driving the technological evolution of our presence in the most popular IDEs developers across the world use. You will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing tools and workflows that enhance the productivity and efficiency of our customers. This position requires a deep understanding of software development principles, a passion for crafting exceptional developer experiences, and expertise in various IDEs and related technologies.
You will interface with teams across the Amazon and leverage technologies across front-end, backend, and the plumbing in-between to optimize for best end to end customer experience and enable faster innovation and experiments. You will collaborate with the leadership team across engineering, product, UX and business and help define our strategy, road map, design, develop, and deploy end-to-end. You will regularly contribute to the professional development of colleagues and make the team stronger.
The ideal candidate is passionate about improving developers experience when authoring code. You need a strong track record of creating reliable, scalable, and high-performance cloud apps, services or tools. Experience with cross platform development frameworks and distributed systems is highly desirable.

Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing and building large-scale systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment (Service Oriented Architecture)
