We’re looking for experienced and motivated engineers to work on customer projects within Germany, with focus area onsite in Berlin as our Cloud Database and Infrastructure Specialist.

Join the team of highly skilled technical experts who build and maintain our clients’ technical landscapes through tailored support services.

What you’ll do

  • Become our customers’ trusted technical advisor and develop a deep knowledge of our customer’s systems and needs. You’ll support the operation of infrastructure and platform deployments, on Customer Premise or in the Cloud, delivering services that drive customer success and innovation onsite and remote.

  • Provide production operation support for the Oracle Engineered Systems Infrastructure Stack

  • Support the stability, availability and performance of critical business systems

  • Install, configure, and operate large scale Exadata, Oracle Database Appliances, Storage Appliances and other Oracle Infrastructure Platform products

  • Deliver solution architecture advice, best practice reviews, and conceptual support

  • Analyze product problems to find resolutions

  • Resolve new and complex issues, research technical enquiries, and handle user problems

  • Support software installation and Upgrades, Patching, configuration, health checks, and performance assessments

  • Educate customers on product features, potential issues, evolutions and innovations, optimizations and benefits

You are experienced in…

  • Oracle DBA activities- minimum 4-5 years

  • Oracle Linux or equivalent

  • Oracle Grid Infrastructure (GI)/Grid Control, Real Application Cluster (RAC), Dataguard

  • Enterprise Manager (OEM)

  • Scripting & automation

  • Oracle Database RDBMS 19c

  • Networks & concepts (switches, protocols, security)

  • Storage technologies and appliances (e.g. ZFS, Storage-Pool, Oracle ASM Automatic Storage Management) is an additional plus

Personal Competencies:

  • Excellent analytical skills and practice mastering complexity

  • Self-motivated and resourceful, self-education attitude

  • Distinct receptiveness to technical innovations

  • Strong communication skills with diverse hierarchy levels

  • Good presentation and documentation skills

  • Work as a team-player and demonstrate ownership and initiative

  • Ability to work unperturbed also under pressure or in escalated situations

Professional Qualifications:

  • University Degree or equivalent education / professional experience

  • Perennial work experience in a Support, Consulting, Datacenter Operations & Administration capacity would be ideal

  • Oracle Certified Associate and/or Professional qualification will be an advantage

  • Cloud Infrastructure or AI/ML technology practice are an additional plus

  • Fluency in German and English language, verbal and in writing (Minimum level B2)
