In this role, you have the opportunity to
join a fast-growing Philips venture, disrupt a multi-billions dollar industry and touch millions of lives by developing a unique medical device solution. Your challenge will be to support the global clinical organization in a challenging phase of aggressive growth. This role offers the unique opportunity to use your clinical study and medical technology knowledge and translate these into concrete applications to create growth for our business and yourself. You are responsible for defining and generating the clinical and health economic evidence required to bring new technology to standard of care.
You are responsible for
Driving execution and management of clinical studies to deliver high quality data to support EPD Solutions on time, within budget and in compliance to all applicable regulations and Philips procedures
Defining processes and procedures for clinical study execution, and ensuring they are followed
Preparing study sites for the clinical studies, e.g. by applying for Ethics Committee/IRB review and governmental approvals
Supporting output to the Management Team through consistent updates and maintenance of an overview of clinical study portfolio and status
Ensuring projects supported by clinical operations team have been prioritized, budgeted and keeping track on milestones, timelines and deliverables
Gathering, analyzing and reporting data in collaboration with the Clinical Scientist
Ensuring frequent and strong communication, ensuring feedback is provided in real time
Ensuring all audit requests, responses, and effectiveness checks are supported, addressed and closed according to jointly agreed timelines
You are a part of
Philips EPD Solutions, an acquired venture with ambitious plans for growth, developing a disruptive technology, which will improve the efficiency and efficacy of life-saving cardiac ablation procedures treating among others atrial fibrillation. EPD’s technology has the potential to address the key unmet need of real-time therapy assessment, which is one of the more significant limitations of the current standard of care. We aim to help to improve outcomes for millions of people and help maintain the rapidly rising cost of managing the disease. Having obtained regulatory approvals in the main geographies, including US, Europe and China, we are continuously developing and releasing product upgrades, with quality enhancements and new functionalities.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
Masters and/or PhD degree in life sciences
Experience in managing international cardiovascular medical device studies, preferably in the domain of electrophysiology and/or cardiac rhythm management
5+ years directly related experience in clinical/scientific experience, preferable in a supervising role, and within the cardiovascular, preferably electrophysiology/cardiac rhythm management domain
Technical proficiency in trial management systems
Experience in global clinical trial operations including experience developing protocols and key study documents, having at least completed two successful studies from beginning to end
Effective project management skills, cross-functional team leadership (CRA’s) and organizational skills
Willingness to travel frequently (up to 20%) across the world
