Naval Medical Command VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST (MEDICAL) in Bethesda, Maryland

Summary You will serve as a VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST (MEDICAL) in the Naval Medical Leader and Professional Development Center of NAVMEDSUP DET BETHESDA MD. Responsibilities You will work independently, but within the framework of established practices and prescribed procedures. You will be trained to provide the full range of medical visual information support services on difficult but less complex cases than the full performance level. You will receive progressively more difficult assignments which will be conducted independently. You will typically carry out assignments independently and discuss possible problem areas, defines objectives and provides assistance on controversial or unusual situations. You will receive progressively more responsible assignments as experience and training are gained until satisfactorily performing at the Full Performance Level of GS-11. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To Qualify for GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Experience using Graphic Design Principles, Elements, and Processes for both Electronic Distribution and Print Production. Experience handling Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat; Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience communicating orally and in writing. Experience developing Medical Graphic Arts (Medical and Technical Illustrations, presentations, and a variety of electronic and printed material) utilizing state-of-the-art desk-top publishing systems in order to design and develop computer-generated graphics to create complex visual information projects. Experience designing, creating, and assembling materials for presentations, publications, and exhibits. To Qualify For GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing knowledge of Graphic Design Principles. Experience utilizing knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat; Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience utilizing excellent oral and written communication skills.
