Robert Half Medical Receptionist in Beverly Hills, California

Description

A busy medical center is seeking an immediate Medical Receptionist to join our team in Beverly Hills, California. You will be the first point of contact for our patients, managing appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining accurate patient records. This role also involves engaging with patients to build business and ensure their satisfaction, as well as managing inventory and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and instruments.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients in a welcoming manner and create a comfortable environment

• Schedule patient appointments efficiently

• Verify patient insurance coverage and follow up on benefits and authorizations

• Proactively make outbound calls to new and former patients to schedule follow-up hearing tests and consultations

• Identify and address patient needs to achieve satisfaction

• Provide accurate, valid, and complete information using appropriate methods and tools

• Handle patient complaints, offering appropriate solutions and alternatives within a timely manner; follow up to ensure resolution

• Maintain records of patient interactions, process customer accounts, and file documents in accordance with established procedures and policies

• Take the initiative to engage patients beyond their immediate needs

• Input information into the patient management system accurately

• Ensure equipment and instruments are clean and well-maintained

• Effectively manage inventory according to established procedures.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Direct Patient Care

• Familiarity with Basic Medical Terminology

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role

• Proficient in providing Direct Patient Care

• Knowledge of Basic Medical Terminology is mandatory

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

• Must be proficient in using medical software and Microsoft Office Suite

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree from a medical secretarial program is preferred

• Must have strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to handle patient queries and complaints efficiently and effectively

• Must have strong data entry and typing skills.
