Tasks & responsibilities

  • In your new role, you will lead a laboratory with a focus on cell- and non-cell-based permeability and transporter assays in a high-throughput testing environment. This includes supervision, maintenance, and continuous optimization of assay workflows.

  • Moreover, you will represent and coordinate Research DMPK disciplines in international research project teams.

  • In this function, you will work closely with medicinal chemistry and therapeutic area teams, and you will be responsible for guiding and interpretation of DMPK experimental data related to in vitro ADME and in vivo pharmacokinetics.

  • Furthermore, you will lead the coordination of all Drug Discovery Sciences disciplines, including Research DMPK, CMC, Bioanalytic, and Biomarker functions, in international Research Project Teams.

  • You will develop new technologies and capabilities in the discovery in vitro ADME space to identify clinically relevant transporter interactions and to solve specific questions associated with cellular permeability, using simple to complex cellular models.

  • In addition, you will coach and support the development of (junior) research scientists.

Requirements

  • PhD or equivalent in pharmaceutics, pharmacology, drug metabolism or pharmacokinetics or related disciplines; , long-term industrial experience is considered beneficial

  • Hands-on experience in in the field of drug transporters, transporter interactions, permeability and uptake studies

  • In-depth knowledge of discovery DMPK, in vitro ADME and pharmacology-related topics, ideally combined with experience as a DMPK representative in cross-functional research projects

  • Collaborative, innovative, and enthusiastic personality with outstanding team-working

  • Excellent communication skills in English - both spoken and written
