Robert Half Accountant in Big Spring, Texas
Description We are in search of an Accountant to join our team in Big Spring, Texas. In this role, you will be expected to handle various accounting tasks, ranging from processing accounts payable and receivable to managing general ledger entries. This position will also entail handling tax reporting, ensuring payroll is entered and submitted, and performing month-end close procedures.
Responsibilities
• Execute Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations with precision
• Manage and maintain the general ledger
• Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting, including franchise and state taxes
• Oversee insurance renewals
• Guarantee the correct entry and submission of payroll data
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Handle month-end close procedures
• Utilize Peachtree Accounting Software for various financial processes
• Prepare and process journal entries as needed. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of detail oriented experience in accounting.
• Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Demonstrated expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations.
• Familiar with maintaining and handling General Ledger.
• Ability to record and manage Journal Entries accurately.
• Experienced in managing Month End Close procedures.
• Proficient in managing Payroll operations.
• Knowledge and experience with Franchise Tax and State Tax.
• Must be adept in using Peachtree Accounting Software.
