Sodex o Campus Dining is hiring an Executive Chef 2 for the Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT (https://www.rocky.edu/campus-life/housing-dining/food-services) . Billings boasts a climate that is mild year-round, ideal for the outdoor enthusiast ! The campus of Rocky Mountain College occupies approximately 60 park-like acres in a residential section of Billings with approximately 1,000 enrolled students. Billings offers all of the benefits of a big-city life with small-town Montana hospitality, a great place to live, work and play!.

Our Executive Chef willwill elevate the culinary excellence with creative and innovative dining options, own production, lead in the kitchen and create great dining experiences for our students. This Executive Chef is responsible for inventory, food management system, and production for all retail, student dining, grab and go, concessions and catering. Strong catering, computer skills and team building experience preferred.

Are you an innovative experienced culinarian with the following skills?

  • Previous success managing high-volume food production - Large Campus Resident Dining account or large Business Dining programs OR contract management, hotel, restaurant Dining

  • Innovative catering background and menu development to WOW the client – high volume and high profile events including awards, holiday and graduation banquets, Alumni dinners, etc.

  • Experience creating innovative menus with demonstrated best practices for increasing the student/customer experience

  • Proven Culinary knowledge: purchasing, inventory, production schedules and Food & Beverage Cost controls using Food Management Systems

  • Enjoy interacting with clients, students, faculty; being the face of the Sodexo Culinary Team on campus and in the dining hall

  • Demonstrate culinary finesse at head Action Station, sharing passion for food, cooking, sustainability with the students

  • Successful experience partnering with a client in championing sustainable initiatives and strong food safety, sanitation and HACCP standards

  • P assion for food and innovation

  • Ability to think out of the box and Strong leadership abilities

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • Manage the daily food production including production planning and controls

  • Ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality

  • Have high expectations for customer service and quality of food

  • Manage food costing, controls and compliance

  • Develop menus and manage inventory

  • Have knowledge of special diets and allergens

  • Knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System DRIVE is preferred for Sodexo experienced candidates

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
