Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Customs Master Data Specialist, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving system compliance and maintenance in SAP GTS, managing HS code classification, and supporting global customs master data processes to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency!

Core Responsibilities

Drive system compliance and maintenance in SAP GTS, including

  • HS code Classification – for core and external components as well as our finished goods products

  • Maintenance of HS codes and classification governance

  • Understand and support Country of Origin process to align with regulations

  • LTSD (Long Term Supplier Declaration) management and maintenance in SAP GTS

Support the BTI process ensuring clear understanding of process and main point of contact for any BTI requests

Stakeholder management working with all our production sites to support production moves

Supervise and control the Non-preferential origin (EU) related processes

Work with global teams to keep up to date with all customs master data changes to ensure compliance and alignment with global teams

Be part of a team with a focus on transportation and customs compliance. Your responsibilities will secure that our products can flow across borders making sure that we are compliant in all aspects of customs regulations

Do you have what it takes?

  • Several years of experience working with classification of different products (HS codes)

  • Significant understanding of the customs process and customs master data including, BTI and non-preferential origin shipment understanding

  • Understanding the rules and regulations behind Country of Origin calculation

  • Data driven – eye for details and able to manage lots of master data accurately and understand impact of having this correct

  • Positive approach to tasks and driving continuos improvement to improve current ways of working

  • Enjoys being a part of a team, and promoting team environment.

  • Strong communication skills – required to communicate across sites and work collaboratively with the global teams

  • Ability to find opportunities and lead change projects

  • PC Skills: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook

  • Experience with SAP – preferable SAP GTS

  • Background in logistics working with customs master data

  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal
