Core Responsibilities

This role is a key member of the Technology Project Office Team, under the Head of Technical Development & Program Management and will have a dotted line to operations External Manufacturing Leadership Team. Both teams are delivering seamlessly integrated digital user experiences at scale in collaboration with the rest of both the Product & Operations organisation:

  • Working with Engineering colleagues to ensure the development of software & hardware solutions and technology platforms for the complete life cycle utilising the most relevant technology with a dedicated focus on reusability and scalability.

  • Working with Operations colleagues to develop underlying manufacturing and test processes to deliver these solutions and platforms “at scale”

  • Lead the project to deliver within the agreed frames of time, cost, quality, and scale

  • Responsible for ensuring adequate progress towards work, including ensuring decisions are made in a timely fashion, review meetings planned, dependencies supervised, tasks delivered as expected, work done within budget and communication made to all team members

  • Drives collective agreement among the multifunctional lead team hereby balancing the interest between engineering and manufacturing, and call out to the SteerCo or Sponsor if agreement cannot be reached

  • Establish and maintain a well-functioning multi-functional team

  • Plan project tasks and activities with workstream leads and ensure coordination across workstreams and other activities

  • Manage change control and ensure that all significant changes to time, cost, quality, and scale realigned by critical collaborators

  • Identify and mitigate all project risks

Senior Technical Project Management is owning the often high sophisticated projects delivering the tech enabled projects in Play Engineering. The team works multi-functional and supports the projects end to end – from idea to actual manufacturing.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Extensive hands-on experience in consumer electronics engineering project management and delivery in robotics/ mechatronics, mechanical, electronics, systems, or a closely related field.

  • Ability to proactively engage with all parts of the project organisation and partners to ensure alignment, reduce risks, and ensure work output.

  • Have experience in bringing projects to scale by active dealing with Operations Factory teams as receiving party including insight in manufacturing and test processes

  • Deep understanding of the processes, tools, and ways of working within technology development projects

  • Solid experience in leading a multi-functional team and people in a related field focused on e.g., mechatronics, robotics and/or consumer technologies, in collaboration with multiple cross-organisational teams such as engineering, quality, procurement, and manufacturing

  • A can-do attitude, superb communication, and motivational skills.

  • Strong collaboration and partner leadership skills.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with passion for new technologies and to drive innovation.

  • Strategic and well-rounded problem solver with attention to detail.

  • Ability and willingness to travel as necessary (approx. 20-30 days per year)

Nice to have :

  • Knowledge of professional systems engineering practices & standard methodologies for the full development life cycle, including planning, risk management, and partner management

  • Technically savvy and capable have educated discussions with the team about cost, quality and scaling

  • Having Project Planning Tool experience (e.g. MPP)

  • Experience in working multi-functionally with internal and external partners
