Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

Seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with at least two years of experience in operating a CNC lathe/router. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, understand engineering specifications, and accurately program CNC routers. Responsibilities include making G-code edits, conducting preventative maintenance, and performing minor repairs on CNC routers. The role requires good math and measurement skills, including proficiency with micrometers. Candidates should be well-organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a clean work area.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 5 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Birmingham, Alabama.

Work Environment

The position is based in a large, diversified lead product fabrication facility with the world’s largest lead alloy rolling mill. The work environment is non-climate controlled, meaning it can be hot in summer and cold in winter. The facility is noisy and parts of the plant may be dirty. Safety is a priority; therefore, wearing personal protective equipment, including respirators in certain areas, is mandatory. No personal items or food/beverages are allowed on the plant floor due to safety regulations. The role will initially train on the 1st shift before moving to the 2nd shift.
