O'Neal Industries, Inc. Internal Auditor ONI in Birmingham, Alabama

Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct branch operational audits on a random basis for subsidiaries of O’Neal Industries, as detailed in the audit program. Additional analytical work should be performed, as necessary.

  • Conduct operational audits of O’Neal Industries subsidiary corporate headquarters, as detailed in the audit program. Additional analytical work should be performed, as necessary.

  • Assist with special projects and management requests.

  • Assist in the internal control compliance program and conduct other functional and process audits, as needed.

  • Conduct formal closing conferences at the conclusion of each audit.

  • Perform cost recovery audits in AR, AP and other areas.

  • Assist outside public accounting firm on annual financial audits.

  • Assist with Information technology audits, as requested.

  • Perform data analysis as required.

Required Skills: To qualify for consideration, an applicant must possess the following skills. These skills are a prerequisite for employment:

Education and Language Skills: Successful candidates must possess a college degree in Accounting. A Masters in Accounting and certifications such as, CPA, CIA, or CISA would be helpful but not required.

Special Skills (Above average skill required): Strong communication skills (oral and written), analysis and interpretation, data analytics, interpersonal skills, motivation, negotiation, organization, problem solving, judgment and decision making, coping with difficulties and emergencies.

Additional Skills: must be able to concentrate and maintain productivity in high-pressure situations, overnight travel required (position requires up to 35% travel).

Physical Requirements: fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motions.

General Description of Physical Requirements: Generally sedentary but does require some physical activities when performing inventory counts.
