Robert Half Retail Credit Analyst in Birmingham, Alabama
Description
We are seeking a Retail Credit Analyst to join our team in the financial services industry, located in Birmingham, Alabama. As the Retail Credit Analyst, you will play a vital part in reviewing loan applications and assisting customer through the entire loan process. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for customer service, building relationships with clients and strong analytical skills. This role offers a hybrid work schedule. The Retail Credit Analyst will work one week on-site and one week remote on a rotation.
Responsibilities:
• Handle new credit applications with precision and speed
• Uphold retailer relationships for smooth operations
• Collaborate with the Processing and Underwriting Departments to manage loan transactions effectively
• Strive to achieve loan-closing quotas
• Communicate and sell loan terms to borrowers.
• Review and make decisions on credit applications
• Assist with any problems that arise during the loan process
• Work to reach monthly closing & approving goals
• Stay up to date on changes in loan regulations
• Manage a pipeline of loans from initial review to approval status
• Assist with clerical duties such as reviewing credit applications, assist with loan structuring
• Maintain customer service with our partnered retailers and assist with managing a pipeline of loans
This Retail Credit Analyst position is a contract to full-time opportunity and presents great growth potential. Looking for a self-starter with strong phone, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. Previous sales experience would be a plus for this position. Must have great customer service skills. Basic Microsoft Office skills. Bachelor degree in a Business related field is preferred. After hired, employees must pass the NMLS Test to become a licensed Loan Originator. Employees will be paid for two weeks of study time for the test and license will be paid for by the company.

Requirements
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat is expected.
• Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is a plus
• Ability to process large volumes of data accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relations with customers
• Prior experience in call center customer service or sales is a plus.
• Familiarity with closing processes in a financial setting is a plus
• Strict adherence to compliance standards and regulations in the financial services industry is a must.
