Job Summary:

The Material Planning Analyst is responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of materials throughout the supply chain. This role involves analyzing data, coordinating with suppliers, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize inventory levels and meet stock availability targets to support on time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Demand Analysis and Planning

  • Analyze historical data and market trends to ensure stable and consistent availability of products.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent overstock or stockouts.

  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and reduce holding costs.

Supplier Coordination

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.

  • Evaluate supplier performance and work with procurement teams to establish strong supplier relationships.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Prepare and present reports on inventory status, supplier performance, and other key metrics.

Process Optimization

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and reduce costs.

Process Administration

  • Understand and follow process in support of export and dropship activity with a particular focus on detail and documentation requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education : A level standard or equivalent. CIPS desirable but not necessary.

  • Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain, material planning, or logistics.

  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in supply chain management software (Microsoft dyanmics, AX and 365 with specific emphasis on Microsoft Excel)

  • Analytical Skills : Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing inventory and supply chain processes.

  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving : Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and suggest effective solutions or strategies.

  • Organisational Skills : Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Additional Requirements:

  • Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, but comfortable to work on own initiative as required.

  • Adaptability : Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.

  • Professionalism : Demonstrates professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
