Role Purpose

Responsible for the research, provision and analysis of data used to inform Category Sourcing Strategies and tactical procurement arrangements including spend data, market data, supplier and supply chain data, product data, service data and trends.

Job Responsibilities

  • Researching, analysing, and providing comprehensive data on all areas of site spend and procurement activity.

  • Developing the automation of data production to make decision making and Sourcing Strategy processes more efficient.

  • Responsible for the collation, manipulation, analysis and reporting of a wide range of data from a variety of sources to include but not be limited to; spend data, supplier data, market data, economic data, carbon reduction data, and geographical data.

  • Responsible for the design, development and production of reports and dashboards, to present information, including but not limited to detailed spend analysis, geographic risk and opportunity and Contract health

  • Assisting with supplier engagement activity and gathering market information and/or local economic data in order to draw out the trends, exceptions, and key messages.

  • Maintaining databases and spreadsheets, manipulating large amounts of data, extracting, and exporting data, producing reports as requested using a variety of methods including charts, tables and dashboards.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Educated to degree level in one of the following disciplines: Mathematics, Economics, Physics

  • The ability to analyse, model and interpret data

  • A high level of mathematical ability

  • Proficient with MS Excel, databases and MS Office Suite products

  • Problem-solving skills

  • A methodical and logical approach

  • The ability to plan work and meet deadlines

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Interpersonal skills

  • Team working skills

  • Written and verbal communication skills

Desirable

  • SAP experience

  • Knowledge of Category Management

  • Project Management

  • Stakeholder Management

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel within the region

  • Infrequent global travel
