As our new CAD/FEA Development Engineer, you will support our Mechanical Development Engineers working on development projects. Your focus will be to create intelligent parametric CAD models usable for simulation driven development. Hence your FEA skills are also very important. In each project, you work closely with the Mechanical Development Engineer as well as your peers, always keeping in mind that each design needs to be able to be manufactured within agreed time frame and at the lowest possible cost without affecting our high quality.

Together with your peers, you will ensure that our mechanical platforms have the highest standards when it comes to CAD models and FEA models.

The role is based in our office in Bjerringbro, Denmark.

What is the job about?

You will contribute to the SCRUM Team’s deliveries using relevant office applications (i.e. Excel, Catia, Ansys etc.) by applying engineering skills, conducting analysis to support product maintenance and development, and handling day-to-day tasks supporting the technical documentation.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Develop mechanical modules from concept to implementation in Supply chain

  • Creating, collecting, and analyzing data for problem-solving and product development maintenance

  • Being thorough in approach and being accountable through the detailed daily work to support the product line(s)

  • Contributing to technical updates and improvements to the product lines

  • Preparing documentation in compliance with legislation, Grundfos processes, Standards, and Grundfos practice

  • Ensuring documentation is updated (drawings, SAP data, etc)

  • Conducting analyses in connection to product changes/updates

  • Performing cost analysis and cost reduction activities

Your background

  • An Engineering Degree, Master or Bachelor within or similar science education

  • At least 3 years relevant experience and knowledge within product development

  • Proficient English – verbal and written

  • Understanding Agile principles

  • Knowledge in job relevant tools (e.g. 3D CAD, Catia, ANSYS)

  • Experience in using simulation tools for relevant specialist area like (Tools like Ansys)

  • Experience in Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, PP, etc.)
