Anoka County Supervisor, Child Support Services in Blaine, Minnesota

Position Description The Anoka County Economic Assistance department's mission is to provide effective services with a focus on dignity and self-sufficiency. Anoka County is currently seeking a passionate and devoted child support professional to provide supervision to the team of Child Support Officers and Mentors. The position of Child Support Supervisor is responsible for the overall administration of the child support program and directs child support staff, develops, and implements policies and procedures, and provides legislative analysis. By collaborating with community resources and additional Anoka County departments, the child support team strives to assist families in understanding the child support process to receive the support they need. This full-time, exempt, remote/hybridposition is located at the Anoka County Blaine Human Services Center. Pay & Benefits Salary: $80,516.80 to $96,616.00 ($38.71 to $46.45 per hour) 2024 Anoka County Salary Schedule Grade 36: $80,516.80 to $112,715.20 ($38.71 to $54.19 per hour) 24 days of paid flexible time off and up to 12.5 paid holidays. Work Location This position is located at the Blaine Human Services Center, 1201 89th Ave NE, Blaine. Hybrid/remote options are available. Expected work hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Job Duties and Responsibilities These examples are not all inclusive and are intended to be illustrative of primary responsibilities of an Anoka Supervisor, Child Support Services: Oversee the administration of child support programs. Analyze and initiate, monitor and evaluate program policy development and procedures. Ensure compliance, integrity, and accuracy in the administration of programs. Collaborate with supervisory and management groups to develop workflows and agency procedures. Provide work assignments and training. Evaluate cases, conduct quality assurance audits and complete reviews of programs administered. Conduct legislative analysis and provide recommendations to redesign or implement programs. Advise on problem solving methods regarding crisis situations with the public and clients. Participate on committees, task forces and special assignments to design internal and external policies and procedures. Supervise employees by evaluating performance, coaching, setting work priorities, ensuring compliance with program laws, procedures and regulations, enforce work rules and administer disciplinary actions; and otherwise provide leadership and direction to ensure effective and efficient unit operations. Assist in the recruitment process for new employees. Qualifications and Requirements Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed Bachelor's degree or higher Three years (2,080 annual hours) of full-time job-related experience In lieu of the required education, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Qualifications Needed Degree in Behavioral Science, Human Services, Public Administration, Criminal Justice or related field Three years (2,080 annual hours) of full-time job-related experience working in the child support program Previous leadership experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Skill in leadership and coaching Able to interpret and follow complex oral and written instructions. Able to organize workload and efficiently prioritize and meet multiple demands and deadlines. Attention to detail and analytical skills. Physical Demands and Work Conditions: Standard office environment Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, such as to work on computers. Ability to see colors, shades, and brightness Hearing abilities required for general and phone communication, signals, and machine sounds Assignments are sedentary, occasionally alternating between sitting, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling as required to perform job responsibilities. Frequent wrist and finger manipulation to complete computer work Occasional lifting of 10-20 lbs. Equipment used includes computers, phones, and standard office equipment Occasional travel to other county work sites as needed.
