Job Overview
The Operations Coordinator will oversee the daily operations in Bloomington, CA, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth logistics, driver management, and customer satisfaction while optimizing KPIs and meeting business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage the operations team, including drivers and coordinators, ensuring high levels of on-time pickups, deliveries, and exceptional service.
Customer Service: Provide high-level customer service support, addressing escalations, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
Dock Operations: Work closely with the dock supervisor to ensure successful daily dock launches and smooth operational flow.
Driver Coordination: Manage and support drivers, maintaining records of times, routes, and special handling assignments. Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
KPI & Report Management: Track, manage, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including on-time deliveries, driver performance, and customer service metrics.
Operational Oversight: Manage and oversee Open Job Reports, daily Proof of Delivery (POD) reconciliation, pickup dispatch, and rate adjustments.
Job Assignment & Dispatching: Assign B2B/B2C jobs, manage key accounts, and build delivery jobs manually when needed.
Problem-Solving & Decision Making: Handle day-to-day operational challenges, provide ETA updates, support customer service teams, and handle ad-hoc delivery/pickup requests.
Meetings & Communication: Attend weekly operations meetings and communicate key updates to stakeholders.
What You’ll Need
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop teams effectively.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships and provide clear guidance to teams.
Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with logistics/transportation software.
Adaptability: Comfort with ambiguity, rapidly shifting priorities, and a dynamic work environment.
Urgency & Prioritization: Ability to work with a sense of urgency, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
Experience: Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or dispatch operations is strongly preferred.
Language Skills: (Preferred) Bilingual in Spanish.
The expected salary range for this role is $20/hour - $27/hour. The actual base pay offered will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
