See what it's like to work at GROWMARK: https://youtu.be/CSVMnKCySsY _ PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT *_ Serves as the Supply Chain and Logistics intern under the direction of the Dispatch Operations and Analysis Director, assists with general Supply Chain and Logistics functions. _ *ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS *_ * Hands on experience in supply chain and logistics field. * Assists with technology initiatives related to the logistics division. * Review and analyze performance of logistics/transportation with provided data to establish KPIs with management team. * Review and analyze dispatch operational procedures related to established KPIs. * Gain understanding and experience with functions of transportation and logistics area. _ *OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS *_ * Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. * Performs all other duties as assigned. _ *REQUIREMENTS *_ * Must be pursuing a business or related degree (Supply Chain, Agribusiness) at a community college or university, in good academic standing at time the internship begins. * Demonstrates ability to work independently. * Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. * Frequently required to lift 51-70 pounds as needed * Potentially exposed and required to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wet, etc.), as well as working at various heights or elevated platforms * Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed. * Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position. _ *WHAT WE BRING TO THE TABLE_ * We value relationships and people first and foremost * We are a company that is committed to being an innovation leader in the agriculture industry * We emphasize sustainability practices and stewardship of our resources * We enjoy access to in-house training and leadership development opportunities _ *WHAT YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT US *_ The GROWMARK Internship Program has been in existence for 66 years.
