As HR Manager , you will impact the success of Industrial Fire’s Det-Tronics brand by supporting site human resources activities and compensation and employee relations activities for the brand globally. You will collaborate with the leadership team and, with generalist support, ensure accurate and timely execution of HR activities, including recruiting and onboarding, performance management, compensation, and employee relations.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Support employee lifecycle, annual process, and HR technology

  • Foster positive employee relations in the countries in which Det-tronics operates, including leading employee engagement activities and following-up on ad hoc employee relations items

  • Support and serve as subject matter expert to HR Coordinators in the brands on process and policy interpretation

  • Partner with external vendors and partners and supply chain to ensure effective employee and business support

  • Forecast hiring needs and ensure recruitment process runs smoothly; influence stakeholder to ensure roles are filled promptly and within budget

  • Address escalated employee queries and respond in a timely manner

  • Develop and implement training and development plans

  • Conduct regular audits of employee records and other HR data to ensure accuracy for Finance and the business

  • Develop and implement HR policies throughout the organization

  • Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor and employment legislation across countries

  • Recommend process and policy enhancements to the improve service to your customers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Management, Industrial relations or Labor Relations, Sociology or Psychology, Information Systems (with HRIS focus), Accounting or Finance, Communication, Marketing, Economics.

  • 6+ years professional experience in Human Resources, with a combination of (Manufacturing, Engineering, IT, and full P&L HR experience).

  • 1+ years manufacturing HR experience, supporting plant and warehouse Managers.

  • 2+ years experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and timekeeping systems.

  • 2+ years experience with full life recruiting cycle.

  • 2+ years experience, developing analysis in Excel and presentations in PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications (assets):

  • Professional in Human Resources (SPHR); Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR); Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred.

  • Solid understanding of labor and employment legislation and payroll process

  • Business judgment and acumen

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – diplomatic communication style

  • Result driven mindset with the ability to work cross functionally

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
