Join us at Element as we establish our Americas Colleague Experience Team in our cutting-edge Global Business Solutions (GBS) Hub located in Cincinnati. Element is dedicated to optimizing and enhancing our Human Resources operating model to deliver exceptional services to our leaders and colleagues. As part of this transformation, we are forming a new Colleague Experience team responsible for designing and executing all colleague-facing interactions, ensuring a positive experience through every interaction while maintaining full compliance with our processes and procedures. The Colleague Experience team will collaborate closely with our HR Operations, HR Business Partnering, and HR COE teams to provide world-class HR solutions to support our rapid business growth.

Element has an exciting opportunity for a Colleague Experience Business Partner to join our Cincinnati office. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing and optimizing the overall employee experience within our organization. We are seeking an experienced HR professional who is well-versed in employment law, compliance, and providing excellent customer service to employees and stakeholders. You will lead initiatives to improve colleague experience, ensuring compliance with HR policies and processes while aligning employee needs with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and execute solutions to core HR services such as orientation, learning and development, policies and procedures, and employee relations.Respond to inquiries through various channels such as phone, email, case management system, and live chat, documenting and escalating as necessary.

  • Address and escalate employment-related inquiries including benefits, leave of absences, time and attendance, and policy interpretation.

  • Manage standard employee relations issues such as performance improvement plans and leave of absences.

  • Collaborate with HRBP teams to understand and address employee needs, ensuring alignment with a positive colleague experience.

  • Work closely with HR Business Partners, and COEs to foster a supportive and inclusive work culture, providing guidance on effective communication and teamwork.

  • Collaborate on initiatives to enhance colleague engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

  • Develop and maintain metrics to assess the effectiveness of colleague experience initiatives.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management, ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on feedback and industry best practices.

  • Design and deploy various policies, systems and procedures to ensure efficient operations, positive colleague experience, and compliance with legislation.

  • Prepare and administer mandatory HR training.

  • Research, prepare, update, and govern HR policies, processes, and intranet to ensure compliance and alignment with requirements.

  • Identify learning and development needs to enhance colleague skills and career growth.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HR or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of employee relations, HR processes, and procedures.

  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful insights for decision-making.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage HR-related projects, including managing and participating in project teams.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations for US and Canada

  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to be social, engaging, friendly, curious, and inquisitive.

  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.

  • Canadian French speaking preferred

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Project management skills.
