Insurance Authorization Specialist (DME)
As an Insurance Authorization Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient care by obtaining necessary authorizations from insurance companies.
Your responsibilities will include:
Authorization Management:
Obtain prior authorizations for medical equipment and supplies.
Monitor and track the status of pending and approved authorizations.
Escalate any billing or coding issues related to authorization and coverage
Insurance Coordination:
Work closely with insurance plans to pre-authorize and re-authorize patient services.
Troubleshoot authorization-related issues in the Practice Management System.
Maintain contact management regarding the status of authorizations and any additional documentation needed
Qualifications:
Passion for patient care.
Knowledge of insurance processes.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
