Robert Half Accountant - Entry Level in Boca Raton, Florida
Description We are seeking an Entry Level Accountant for our team located in Boca Raton, Florida. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where the main job function will be to handle billing, bookkeeping, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and journal entries. The position will require proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Excel.
Responsibilities:
• Process and record transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in billing and bookkeeping
• Handle accounts payable and receivables, ensuring all entries are accurately recorded and updated
• Prepare and maintain journal entries, ensuring they are accurately recorded in the company's accounting software systems
• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop for various accounting functions and tasks
• Use Excel to organize and analyze financial data
• Collaborate with a small team to ensure smooth and efficient accounting operations
• Handle customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments
• Use ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and IBM AS/400 for managing business processes
• Use About Time software for managing project-based time and attendance
• Handle check processing tasks effectively and accurately. Requirements
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop
• Bilingual Spanish Preferred
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Skills in Check Processing
• Entry-level understanding of accounting principles and regulations
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
