Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our clients' financial data, assisting in the year-end close process, and providing valuable insights through various analyses.
Responsibilities:
Accruals and Adjusting Journal Entries (AJEs): Prepare accruals and AJEs as necessary to accurately reflect financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Trial Balance Preparation: Create accurate trial balances that are ready for incorporation into tax returns or financial statements.
Year-End Close: Assist in the year-end close process, ensuring all financial records are accurately reconciled and prepared for year-end reporting.
Multi-Entity Experience: Manage financial data for multiple entities, applying knowledge of intercompany transactions and consolidations where applicable.
Bilingual Skills: Utilize fluency in both Spanish and English to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues, as needed.
Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including statistical analysis, comparative balance sheets, and other relevant metrics, to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks and deliverables.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a small CPA firm or with multiple entities is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Desktop.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information.
Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required.
While a degree is not mandatory, a relevant degree or certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
