U.S. Marine Corps SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Boeblingen, Germany

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the e G-4 Division, Headquarters, Marine Forces Europe and Africa (MARFOREUR/AF) of HQ MARINE FORCES EUROPE . Responsibilities You will analyze budget or resource limitations to support integrated logistic support plans. You will brief management on status, updates, or other logistics related information. You will negotiate supply support matters with other logistics stakeholders for assigned systems and equipment. You will train logistics staff to increase quality of work and support to customers. You will recommend risk mitigating solutions to superiors when standards or objectives are not met. You will submit written reports for site performance and workload. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing overall organization, mission, functions, goals/objectives, and administrative operations; 2) Utilizing service doctrine, joint doctrine, service programs/requirements, Joint plans, and command relationships; 3) Planning and conducting assessments, analyzing and evaluating findings, and making recommendations on substantive issues; 4) Formulating logistic operations that requires careful review of the substance of documents to ensure they accurately reflect the policies and position of the Commander; and 5) Managing DoD supply/maintenance policies, procedures and automated information systems (e.g. MAGTF II, Joint Total Assist Visibility JTAV, Global Transportation Network (GTN) and Global Command and Control System (GCCS). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Incumbent must be abel to: 1. Experience planning and managing logistics activities at a Division-level HQ or higher (2-Star Flag Officer or General Officer HQ). 2. Experience planning and supervising joint and theater logistics operations. 3. Evaluating and formulating policy on logistics matters at a Service Theater Component-level, Service HQ-level, combatant command, or military Department-level. 4. Familiarity with operations and tactical logistics activities including Aquisition Cross-Servicing Agreements, Operational Contract Support, Food Service, Deployment and Distribution, Engineering Operations and Base Operating Support, and Supply Operations. 5. Strongly preferred JPME 1 and 2 completion. Education There are no education requirements for this position. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.
