Job Description Summary:

As a DFT (Design for Test) Product Engineer in the DRAM Technology group, you will be part of a forward-thinking team of engineers that solves sophisticated problems to develop industry-leading DRAM! In this role, you will gain an in-depth understanding of semiconductor memory functionality and become an expert in the test manufacturing code and testing techniques used to develop, implement, validate, and ensure device performance. You will engage with new technology at the design start to nurture DFT and Micron’s component test flow philosophy on ground breaking architectures! This will be accomplished through innovation and by multi-functional engagement with partner groups – Design, Test, Technology Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop test coverage and characterization methods for new, ground breaking DRAM architectures.

  • Enable new process node startup, qualification, yield, and ramp.

  • Propose new DFT and architectures to support enhanced test capability that results in future quality, yield, and test time improvements.

  • Apply pioneering engineering equipment to support product characterization and electrical failure analysis.

  • Conduct electrical failure analysis and yield improvement using data, lab, and production tools.

  • Use failure analysis results to modify existing test strategies to improve quality and yield.

  • Facilitate test time improvements through test flow and pattern optimizations.

  • Support design with test verification using CAD tools and simulations.

  • Collaborate with internal engineering groups; Test Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Design, Technology Development, and Quality teams to provide test mentorship to understand quality, yield, and test time issues and priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering (or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in the semiconductor industry.

  • Familiarity with DRAM architecture, operation, testing, design, and process.

  • Solid understanding of DFT memory testing and characterization strategies.

  • Experience with shell scripts (Perl, Unix, Batch, Python, etc.).

  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment.

  • Circuit-level simulation (Verilog/Analog) using Cadence.

  • Effective written and spoken communication skills.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Project management skills.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Self-motivation and enthusiasm.
