Are you passionate about understanding and influencing the worlds most sophisticated R&D fabrication facility in the world? As an Operations Engineering Intern for our Operations Development Integration Team in Micron’s R&D Fab in Boise, ID, you will be given the outstanding opportunity to do just that. In this role, you will partner with our various teams to build a variety of solutions that could include reports, automation and/or standardization of business processes that help our Operations and Engineering teams drive improvement.
Details: Our Operations Development Integration (ODI) team leads silicon wafer operations that enable our next generation memory solutions in NAND, DRAM, and Emerging Memories. These highly sophisticated programs require dedicated operations management to deliver results on time, on schedule, and on budget. Engineers within ODI collaborate across the organization to identify the fab operations critical paths/constraints, communicate performance to plan, and drive activities to meet project needs.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Developing standard processes, reports, dashboards, automation, and other data visualizations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Optimizing fab performance metrics and auditing manufacturing capacity information through statistical analysis.
Presenting findings and recommending solutions to enhance fab performance.
Identifying key performance indicators for R&D/fabrication success and implementing strategies to achieve them.
Completing required safety training and adhering to Micron safety policies at all times.
Successful Candidates should have the following Qualifications:
A solid understanding of Project or Program Management principles and methodologies.
Familiarity with Production Line Management techniques or Factory Physics.
The ability to identify, develop, propose, and implement effective plans to drive overall improvement.
Excellent coordination and facilitation skills, with the ability to present to a diverse audience.
Strong proficiency in using one or multiple software tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python, R, or SQL to handle, manipulate, and visualize data.
Education Requirements:
- Working towards BS (Junior or Senior), MS in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field of study.
