Idaho Power — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Analyst to join our Corporate team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. While this position is based at Idaho Power’s Boise location, we offer both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote.

What does a Senior Supply Chain Analyst do for us?

A Senior Supply Chain Analyst develops, leads, and executes data analytics strategies to support Idaho Power’s Supply Chain objectives. They are responsible for developing statistical measurements and providing insights, reports, information, analysis, and recommendations which support supply chain management in effective, informed decision making and cost management relative to procurement and inventory management strategies. They are responsible for developing and monitoring appropriate supply chain metrics/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and track supply chain, category management, and vendor performance. They facilitate cross functional team interaction to develop, support, and monitor supply chain processes. They evaluate opportunities and make recommendations on business impacts, cost savings, efficiencies, and continuous process improvements. They assist with necessary budget preparation, processing, reporting, and analysis.

A COMPETITIVE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

Knowledge of:

  • Advanced understanding of Operations/Supply Chain ERP and financial database systems

  • Reporting applications

Preferred:

  • Microsoft Excel, including essential data reporting functions

  • SQL Query language, including writing, and creating queries

  • Microsoft Power BI, developing custom dashboards, and metrics

  • Pulling data from OLAP data cubes utilizing various tools

Skills in:

  • Effective communication and conflict resolution

  • Research and analysis

  • Forecasting, budget analysis, and business planning

  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management

Ability to:

  • Meet deadlines

  • Detail-oriented and proficient in gathering, organizing, analyzing, and communicating information

  • Communicate and work effectively with others both within and outside IPC and at all levels

  • Build strategic working relationships

  • Identify, design, develop, and maintain analytical and reporting tools

  • Develop and improve job processes

  • Use excellent judgment to solve problems

  • Develop and apply quantitative economic models

  • Understand and carry out complex written and verbal instructions

  • Lead cross-functional teams

  • Train internal customers on supply chain policies, procedures, and tools

  • Present to management or other employees

  • Communicate with various levels of suppliers and employees, including management

  • Work with minimal supervision

  • Work in a regulated or compliance-oriented environment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Preferred:

  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Supply Chain Management or related field

Experience:

  • 5 years of professional experience in supply chain analysis, statistical analysis, accounting, or finance

Preferred:

  • 7 years of professional experience in supply chain analysis, statistical analysis, accounting, finance, with data base analysis, process improvement, or project management experience.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position

Preferred:

  • Certified Supply Chain Analyst (CSCA)

  • Project Management Professional (PMP).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. There may be occasional lifts of no more than 10 lbs. The above is a summary of the primary essential functions of the position.
