*Piler Operator*: This person is responsible for the overall safe operation of the piler and ensuring the proper storage of sugarbeets for long-term storage. Daily piler startup checklists Can conduct Take 5\'s with piler crew Daily oiling and cleaning of piler Safely operates under direction of station foreman Monitors the quality of sugarbeets being placed into storage Reports possible piler malfunctions to Station Foreman *Platform Worker*: Platform workers assists the piler operator and directs trucks for proper unloading of sugarbeets. Safely back trucks up to piler and unload. Ensure the power cord is undamaged while piler operator moves the piler. Keeps a clean work area free of spilled beets and dirt buildup. Daily oiling and cleaning of the piler. Nonverbal communication with truck drivers using clear hand signals Minimizes piler and truck damage while backing up truck to the piler *Tare Taker*: A tare taker works with another tare taker to record truck loads and takes 25 lb. sample from each load throughout the day. Take random 25 lb. tare samples Accurately record truck loads and printed tickets with appropriate sample Communicate with piler operator to ensure proper field/truck ID\'s Operate a tablet to record truck and field data. Take proper sugarbeet pulp temperatures according the temperature taking protocol *Vent Crew:* The vent crew safely places ventilation pipe for the ventilated pile. Safely places and assembles ventilation pipe Operates equipment (telehandler or skid steer) Occasional platform worker Keeps a clean work area
