Express is seeking a Technical Records Specialist for a local State Agency:
Example of Duties
This position provides technical support to assigned Boards and Division administration as assigned by the supervisor. Those services include receiving, reviewing, and processing applications; providing licensure information; issuing permits, licenses and certifications; and preparing and maintaining files.
Process Applications and Forms:
- Enter data from application and request forms into the licensing database
- Process application funds
- Issue licenses
- Update individual licensee records
- Correspond with applicants regarding needed information
- Print and send licenses, license verifications, certificates
Provide Customer Service to External Customers:
- Provide technical assistance for the Division\'s online services on the phone
- Deal with individuals from varying cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
General Office Responsibilities:
- Review website, applications, letters and licensing database to identify errors and needed updates
- Monitor email
- Scan documents
- Other duties as assigned
Experience:
- Monitoring record systems to identify and correct errors
- Analyzing information and researching a variety of sources to identify and resolve problems or issues
- Dealing with individuals from varying cultural and socio-economic backgrounds in stressful situations
- Entering and retrieving data using a computerized record system
- Composing and proofreading business correspondence
