Description

Robert Half Direct is seeking a diligent Risk and Treasury Analyst to join the team at an established rental company. The Risk and Treasury Analyst plays a key role in Treasury/Risk Management and assists the Treasury Director in all aspects of treasury operations as well as analytical support for the Risk Management team. The position must effectively partner with key internal customers (e.g., Billing, Accounts Payable, etc.) to identify needs and identify opportunities to improve financial and process performance. The position assists in ensuring that Treasury services are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner and drive continuous improvement in service levels provided by Treasury and our Banking partners.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees cash functions, including cash positioning, cash reporting and forecasting, wire payments, fraud prevention, bank account setup and maintenance, and assists in bank relationship management.

• Responsible for managing the short-term cash forecasting process to optimize the utilization of the company’s cash balances

• Identify opportunities to improve cash management systems and processes, including the evaluation of available options and supporting and/or implementation of any approved changes

• Responsible for the timely resolution of any bank account related issues and customer inquiries

• Review monthly bank service charges and assist in the semi-annual review of bank services and accounts for cost-effectiveness

• Maintain strong financial controls by monitoring and validating cash collection, payment, and other controls on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

• Assist in the company’s disaster recovery plan, and conduct periodic tests

• Responsible for first level bank user administration for various online bank/company platforms

• Ensure on a daily basis effective control and accounting for all Corporate cash in the Secured, Unsecured programs, including the appropriate G/L accounting for all cash transactions

• Manage the Letter of Credit issuance and maintenance process

• Submits invoices for approval and validates and codes casualty claim payments

• Prepares vendor invoices for payment, ensure proper SAP account codes and allocation codes are used to properly allocate expenses

• Completes weekly and monthly Risk Management activity dashboards, reviewing claims and reporting as needed

• Oversee the issuance of COI’s, while also maintaining a database of supplier COI’s, monitoring for expiring certificates, and managing the collection and review of new certificates

• Maintaining endorsement requests and coordinating efforts with the insurance broker on obtaining new endorsements per contractual obligations

• Prepare monthly allocation for branches to chargeback expenses for occurrences in GL, Auto and WC claims

• Prepare information for annual audits of expiring policies and collaborate with internal departments to gather information needed to complete applications. Provide information to accounting for monthly accruals and year-end true-ups

• Prepare semi-annual reviews of the Loss Run reports for audit purposes. Provide support to internal/external audit for the risk & insurance as well as the treasury audit controls

• Completes monthly actuarial modeling and review with the actuary and accounting teams

• Provide analytical support for Treasury and Risk team

• Ad-Hoc project support as needed

Requirements

• 3-5 years of accounting, banking, or treasury experience

• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification a plus

• Undergraduate degree (major in Finance, Accounting, Management or equivalent)

• Comfortable and efficient communicator/presenter

• Corporate Finance Theory

• Detailed, with superb organizational skills and logical reasoning

• General Finance and Business Acumen

• Strong analytical skills & problem-solving ability

• Strong knowledge of the MS Office Suite

• Treasury and/or Accounting Systems (preferred)
