Boston University ADMINISTRATIVE & DATA ANALYSIS ASSISTANT, School of Medicine, Genetics, Molecular in BOSTON, Massachusetts

The primary purpose for this position it to provide support for administrative and research activities of the section. The major administrative responsibilities include (1) coordinate and perform a range of operational support activities for the section, (2) serve as a liaison with other departments in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational problems; (3) provide administrative/technical/ secretarial support for the section including, but not limited to, ordering supplies and equipment for the administrative office and research programs of several investigators; (4) handle sensitive and confidential materials; (5) receive and deliver packages containing biological specimens to core and research laboratories; (6) schedule and take minutes of research-related conference calls and meetings; (7) provide administrative support for faculty course directors; and (8) answering telephones, assisting visitors, and resolving and/or referring a range of administrative problems and inquiries. The data analysis responsibilities include performing statistical analyses for one or more projects in the section under the guidance of a faculty level or senior staff data analyst. This position requires a willingness to assist a diverse community and take on other responsibilities as they occur.

Required Skills

requires a bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of related experience.
