This is a strategic technology role, with technical responsibility for product development across all Oracle Cloud services and the platforms. The role will have a specific focus on engineering and building products specifically for strategic market segments and customers in partnership with all core Oracle product owners, engineering teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

A Technical Advisor (TA) is an engineering and product development delivery focused expert who can provide technical leadership within the OCI product team and across Oracle as a whole. As a member of the Product and Industries leadership team, you are expected to foster a growth mindset and culture of teamwork, high expectations, ownership, and technical excellence within the team. You will interface with architects and engineers to develop new products while ensuring that the cloud deployments are highly scalable, flexible, and resilient. You will also have regular communication with C-level executives, including technology review, and develop senior-level customer & partner relationships.

As a TA you will report directly to the SVP of Product and foster and maintain strong/positive relationships with product owners and engineers across Oracle to meet customers’ needs and expectations. You will have ownership for the implementation of your work.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Experience

  • 10+ year of technical enterprise experience, large complex solutions and deployments, debugging, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work well in a highly collaborative team and in ambiguous situations

  • 5+ year of hands-on cloud experience including ability to code

  • Outstanding technical leader with an established industry track record of success in recruiting, mentoring, and leading large scale cloud projects.

Preferred Experience

  • Technical and SME coaching to the customer

  • Partner with Delivery teams to address any readiness gaps, ensuring findings and remediations shared across Delivery Partners and LOBs, as applicable

  • Own case management duties (incoming inspection, escalations, tech reviews/triage, wellness, reduced time to... measures)

  • Provide Readiness Content (identify need for and create content; contribute to readiness efforts

  • Manage collaboration activities (reactive, proactive, cross-team for complex cases, overall process)

  • Contribute to Supportability activities (case analysis and case pattern recognition, deflection initiatives, and other Supportability improvements working with Stakeholders).

  • Release Management and Deployment for Delivery Partners (ensure it happens, do not own directly

  • As a technical/program SME, collaborate with all stakeholders to identify and recommend technical/program process and tool opportunities, leading with innovation within their scope and prioritizing needs when beyond

  • Participate in Product Group Triages

  • Direct Customer Contact (to support frontline engineers, periodic case ownership to maintain technical expertise)

  • Lead or participate in building communities with peer delivery roles may be workload or specialty specific

  • Strong customer focus

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to resolve complex issues in creative, efficient, and effective ways

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience

US: Hiring Range: from $161,600 to $338,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
