Red Hat Associate Product Marketing Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Business Title: Associate Product Marketing Manager

Role Summary:

The Red Hat Hybrid Platforms Business Unit is looking for an Associate Product Marketing Manager to join our team.

This position is responsible for creating top level marketing messaging for OpenShift cloud services that clearly articulates the core value proposition and how OpenShift cloud services help solve our customer's problems. They will understand the market, the competition and customer pain points and to use this information to build a go-to-market strategy.

The perfect candidate is highly collaborative and willing to work with large, cross functional groups to align various business stakeholders around messaging and marketing activities. This individual will plan and execute on multiple projects and deliverables at the same time, often working with product management, technical marketing, global marketing and our partners to launch products, and drive awareness and adoption of our solutions.

Ideal candidate resides in Raleigh, NC or Boston, MA.

Key Responsibilities:

Create messaging and customer-facing materials that demonstrate differentiated value and drive engagement

Enable sales teams with messaging and materials that create pipeline

Collaborate with product management and technical marketing teams on product launches and be accountable for the GTM launch plan

Develop and execute marketing plans for new and existing OpenShift cloud services customers. Create and/or refresh marketing assets and content which may include presentations, whitepapers, blogs, videos, solution briefs, website copy, and social media.

Collaborate with corporate marketing teams to help support execution of demand generation, customer references, digital campaigns, etc.

Support our presence at industry events and bring in needed support teams to help execute

Collaborate with hyperscaler partners such as AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud and IBM on joint GTM plans

Produce internal communications and create/maintain internal content repositories to support sales and marketing teams

Skills:

Ability to write / tell compelling stories across different content, formats and channels

Ability to understand and distill product and technical capabilities to be understandable at all levels and articulate business value

Ability to synthesize technical information from a variety of stakeholders into a coherent story / message

Interpreting information to drive data-based decision making

Understanding of different content needs for funnel development

Write simple & consumable messaging

Consensus building / driving marketing influence

Knowledge and Expertise:

Ability to drive things forward with minimal assistance (experience dependant)

Experience in giving and receiving qualitative and quantitative feedback on content

Basic understanding of the market for the assigned product(s)

Ability to derive a key message from a potentially obscure set of information.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

0-2 years of experience in marketing

Qualifications, Certifications, Licenses Required:

None required. Nice to have:

  • Pragmatic Marketing

  • Product Marketing Alliance

  • Experience working with AWS, Microsoft, Google and/or IBM.

Required Travel (%):

Willingness to travel up to 25% for planning meetings, customer engagements, and conferences

The salary range for this position is $80,770.00 - $129,160.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
