State of Massachusetts RN Central Office Nurse Supervisor in Boston, Massachusetts

DCF is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the timely delivery of high-quality medical care for children within our agency and being an instrumental leader to a team of regional nurses. As theCentral Office Nurse Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role within the Health and Medical Services Team, with occasional availability for consultation during evenings or weekends. Based at the DCF Central Office and reporting to the Medical Director, your responsibilities will include healthcare analysis, policy development, responding to staff inquiries, project management, conducting training sessions, providing coverage for absences, and contributing to the recruitment of new nursing talent. _Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all-inclusive)_: * Supervise DCF Regional Nurses, tracking time, evaluating performance, and managing workload. * Collaborate with stakeholders to monitor healthcare issues for children in DCF care, analyzing trends and proposing policy improvements. * Develop interventions based on data analysis, addressing policy, training, and interagency collaboration. * Support healthcare-related interventions identified by DCF Managers and audits. * Assist in reporting to DCF Senior and Executive staff and field managers, and in policy development. * Respond to staff inquiries on medical issues, including medications, MassHealth, and healthcare resources. * Provide coverage and consultation from the Central Office for Regional DCF Nurses as needed. * Make referrals to specialized programs and assist with medical record collection. * Review referrals to Medical Residence foster homes and assess medical recommendations. * Interpret medical records for DCF staff and consult with other state agencies on medical issues. * Attend Special Kids Special Care meetings to review medically complex children in foster care * Attend Central Office Incident Notifications and plan monthly Health and Medical Services Team meetings. * Educate teams about referral opportunities to various programs. Preferred Qualifications: * Previous supervisory experience * Licensed RN with a minimum 3 years of pediatric nursing experience in an inpatient or home setting * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for tracking and analysis. * Experienced in healthcare quality improvement and analytical skills. * Nursing experience with diverse populations. * Skilled in assessing children's healthcare needs and recommending improvements. * Able to navigate systems and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams. * Knowledgeable about methods for improving healthcare outcomes for children. * Familiar with major healthcare issues of children in DCF care. * Capable of providing healthcare consultation in multidisciplinary settings. * Possess a valid driver's license and ability to travel within the state. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including email clarity. __ _To Apply:_ Please upload both your Resume and Cover Letter for this position when applying.
