Wayfair Senior Associate, External Communications in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><em>This position is a hybrid in-office role that works out of our Headquarters in Boston, MA (this role is not a virtual / remote position).</em></p>

<p>Wayfair is seeking a passionate storyteller to join its Corporate Communications team. This role is an exciting opportunity to tell the compelling, behind-the-scenes stories of this multi-billion dollar retail company. This person will develop and create content for media, social media and owned channels, and will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders.</p>

<p>A successful candidate will be an energetic and highly-motivated communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance concurrent projects under tight deadlines. Candidates should be inherently curious and self-driven with a passion for corporate storytelling and an ability to bring the people, teams and initiatives that make a company tick to life. The role will report into the Manager of External Communications and is based at the company’s headquarters in Boston.</p>

<p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Own and maintain key corporate social media channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook</li>

<li>Monitor social media and other media for coverage on key campaigns and crises</li>

<li>Research, write, and develop new and existing stories for corporate blogs and social media, supporting corporate communications priorities</li>

<li>Analyze and report on data across corporate channels including social media, corporate blog and website</li>

<li>Develop and maintain editorial calendar to ensure consistent social media and editorial content</li>

<li>Create digital graphics for social media, digital signage and blog posts&nbsp;</li>

<li>Assist in creating press briefing materials and staff media interviews with Wayfair spokespeople&nbsp;</li>

<li>Assist in managing media inbounds and monitor coverage&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>What You’ll Need:&nbsp;</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Bachelor’s degree with minimum 4+ years of experience in corporate communications or public relations, either in-house or with an agency</li>

<li>Experience with Google Analytics and/or Looker Studio</li>

<li>Experience in developing content and managing social media and corporate channels on pages such as: LinkedIn, Facebook, X, etc.</li>

<li>Working knowledge design in the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and CMS platforms</li>

<li>Exceptional written and oral communication skills</li>

<li>Strong attention to detail; carefully and consistently proofs own work</li>

<li>Superior organizational skills and proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics</li>

<li>Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization</li>

<li>Strong quantitative skills, comfortable navigating a data-driven business environment&nbsp;</li>

<li>Critical thinker who is flexible and open to change and new information</li>
